How to connect: Gresgying

Requirements

  • Charging station installed, with your PC or phone on the same network as the station

  • AC wallbox: Gresgying app installed (tested version V1.0.10) and station linked to your Gresgying account

  • AC wallbox: firmware C-V1.01.24 P-V1.01.21 (version documented by the source)

  • AC wallbox: Charging Mode set to Online

  • F3-EU 180 kW DC: access to the Device Management System (or local configuration per the included manual); firmware C2032_V2.8.2

Connect your charger

AC wallbox (Gresgying app):

  1. Connect the station to your Gresgying account via the Gresgying app (tested app version V1.0.10; firmware C-V1.01.24 P-V1.01.21).

  2. Verify in the app that the station shows as successfully connected.

  3. Open Network Configuration, select the connection type, and locate the OCPP Server settings.

  4. Under Path, enter wss://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1 and append the station's serial number after the URL, then tap Connect. Make sure Charging Mode is set to Online.

F3-EU 180 kW DC (Device Management System):

  1. In the Device Management System, click Device Manage and locate the desired station (firmware C2032_V2.8.2). Configuration can also be done locally per the included manual.

  2. Select Set Parameters.

  3. Choose Operation Platform address, enter wss://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1, and save.

  4. Restart the station.

After saving the OCPP server Path (URL plus serial number), setting Charging Mode to Online, and tapping Connect (AC) or saving the Operation Platform address and restarting (DC), the station connects to Plugchoice.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. In the app's Path field, enter the full backend URL and append the station's serial number after it: wss://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1 with the serial number appended as the final path segment.

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • If charging power does not display accurately, adjust the meter values upload interval to 30 to 60 seconds via OCPP Get Configuration and Change Configuration.

  • AC wallbox: charging will not run against the backend unless Charging Mode is set to Online.
