How to connect: Juice Technology

Requirements

  • Charging station installed and operational

  • PC or mobile device on the same network as the station

  • Juice Charger me 3 web UI credentials: username operator, password JuiCeMeUP! (reachable at 192.168.123.123, or via the router's device list when on a dynamic IP)

  • Juice Charger 2 web UI password: 1234567890 (reachable at 192.168.4.1:1234)

  • A Chargebox ID without spaces (Juice Charger 2)

Connect your charger

Juice Charger me 3:

  1. Open a browser on a device in the same network as the station and go to 192.168.123.123/ (static IP). If the station has a dynamic IP, look up its address in your router's device list instead.

  2. Log in to the charger web UI with username operator and password JuiCeMeUP!.

  3. Select the connection type (WLAN, LAN, etc.).

  4. Enter the Plugchoice OCPP backend URL in the URL field: wss://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  5. Set the Meter Value Sample Interval to a maximum of 60 seconds.

  6. In the authorization settings, disable free charging and deactivate the local whitelist.

  7. Save all settings and restart the station.

Juice Charger 2:

  1. Open a browser on a device in the same network as the station and go to 192.168.4.1:1234.

  2. Log in to the charger web UI with password 1234567890.

  3. Enter the Plugchoice backend address. The scheme (wss://) is omitted, and the host and path are entered in separate fields: host proxy.plugchoice.com, path /v1.

  4. Set the Chargebox ID. It must not contain spaces.

  5. Save the configuration. The station restarts automatically.

After saving, the station restarts (the Juice Charger 2 restarts automatically, the me 3 is restarted manually) and connects to Plugchoice.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. The Chargebox ID must not contain spaces (source states this for the Juice Charger 2; the me 3 section does not mention a Chargebox ID field).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • If the live power display lags or is inaccurate: the upload interval of the meter values can vary from station to station. Recommended interval 30 to 60 seconds, readable via Get Configuration and adjustable via Change Configuration in the maintenance tool (marked as an advanced setting in the source).
