How to connect: Etrel

Connect your Etrel INCH charger to Plugchoice via OCPP using the web interface or INCH Core app.

Requirements

  • INCH Home, Pro or Duo: a laptop and an Ethernet cable

  • INCH Core: the INCH Core app

  • The login credentials (sticker inside the side maintenance doors) and serial number

Connect your charger

Option 1: INCH Home, Pro and Duo (web interface)

  1. Connect your laptop to the charger with an Ethernet cable.

  2. Browse to [serial number].local, for example 23050153.local.

  3. Log in with the credentials from the sticker.

  4. Open the menu (top left) and go to Configuration > Connectivity > Central system connectivity.

  5. Set Charge point identity to the charger's serial number.

  6. Set Protocol type to OCPP 1.6 JSON.

  7. Set Central system endpoint URL to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Go to Diagnostics > Restart charger.

Option 2: INCH Core (app)

  1. Open the INCH Core app and tap Charging stations.

  2. Tap Add new charging station and follow the steps.

  3. In Settings > WIFI connection, connect the charger to Wi-Fi.

  4. Open the Central system settings.

  5. Set Protocol to OCPP 1.6 JSON.

  6. Set Enable connection to Enabled.

  7. Set Address to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  8. Set Charging station's ID to the serial number.

  9. Check the connection status shows Connected.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Etrel, this is the charge point identity set on the charger, usually the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the charge point identity on the charger.

  • Web interface not loading? Set your laptop's IP to 192.168.1.241 and browse to 192.168.1.250.

  • Check the internet connection under Connectivity (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or GSM).

  • Restart the charger after changing settings.
