Requirements
A phone or laptop with Wi-Fi, near the charger
The charger's PIN code (in the documentation in the box)
Internet for the charger: Wi-Fi, LAN or the Charge Amps SIM
Good to know: this works for Halo and Aura via the built-in web interface.
Connect your charger
In the charger's web interface:
Power on the charger.
On your phone or laptop, scan for Wi-Fi networks.
Connect to HALO_xxxxxx or AURA_xxxxxx (last 6 digits of the serial number).
Enter the PIN code as the network key.
The hotspot is only active for 10 minutes after power-on.
In a browser, go to 192.168.250.1.
Log in with the same PIN code.
Charger not online yet? Go to Wi-Fi, enter your network details, click Update.
Open the OCPP tab.
In OCPP endpoint, enter: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1
Click Update.
Reboot the charger.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Charge Amps, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.
Check the OCPP URL for spaces or a trailing slash.
Hotspot gone? Power-cycle the charger: it broadcasts for 10 minutes.
Check the charger has internet via Wi-Fi, LAN or the Charge Amps SIM.
Reboot the charger after changing OCPP settings.
