Connect your charger
Prepare in Plugchoice:
Create every charge point that should transmit data in Plugchoice first. The wiki: all charge points that should transmit their data to the OCPP backend must first be created in the OCPP backend.
Configure the backend connection:
In the openWB web UI open Einstellungen > Ladeeinstellungen > Uebergreifendes > OCPP and configure the connection to the backend there, using
wss://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1as the backend URL. (The wiki shows this settings section in a screenshot; its text does not name the individual field labels.)
Assign the Chargebox ID:
Enter the Chargebox ID assigned by the backend in openWB under Einstellungen > Identifikation in the corresponding Ladepunkt-Profil (charge point profile), one per charge point.
openWB transmits the ID tag, heartbeat and meter reading to Plugchoice at plug-in, plug-out and every 5 minutes, enabling correct per-session billing. It does not accept remote control: the wiki states control commands from the billing backend are ignored to preserve the economic and grid-serving optimization of the openWB HEMS.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. The Chargebox ID assigned when the charge point is created in the backend must be entered in openWB under Einstellungen > Identifikation in the matching Ladepunkt-Profil (charge point profile).
Done! The charger should come online.
