How to connect: Vega Chargers

Connect your Vega ALOHA Lander charger to Plugchoice through its embedded web server.

Requirements

  • A laptop with an Ethernet port and an Ethernet cable

  • The ALOHA Lander installation manual

  • The charger's serial number (on the System information page)

Good to know: the Vega ALOHA Lander is configured through the embedded web server (EWS). No vehicles may be charging during configuration.

Connect your charger

  1. Open the frontal door of the charger.

  2. Plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop and the port on the A7 PCB, behind the HMI screen, next to the USB port.

  3. Set your laptop's Ethernet adapter to IP 192.168.1.50, subnet 255.255.255.0.

  4. On the authentication page, turn user authentication on and select OCPP-RFID.

  5. On the connectivity page, choose Ethernet or Cellular.

  6. On the OCPP Settings page, set the central system endpoint to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  7. Set Charge box ID to the charger's serial number.

  8. Press apply and reboot (top right).

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Vega Chargers, this is the Charge box ID, usually the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the Charge box ID.

  • EWS unreachable? Check the fixed IP on your laptop (192.168.1.50).

  • Using cellular? Check the SIM is inserted correctly in the modem (A5 PCB).

  • Reboot the charger after changing the settings.
