How to connect: Snigg

Connect your Snigg charger to Plugchoice via its local web interface.

Requirements

  • A laptop and a micro USB cable

  • Physical access to the charger

  • Wired internet (ethernet) or a SIM card for the charger


Connect your charger

  1. Connect the charger to your laptop with the micro USB cable.

  2. In a browser, go to http://192.168.123.123.

  3. Log in. Username: operator, password: yellow_zone.

  1. Go to Backend > Connection.

  2. Select Ethernet for wired internet, or GSM for a SIM.

Using a SIM:

  1. Go to Network > GSM.

  2. Enter your SIM's APN and press Save.

Then, for both:

  1. Go to Backend > OCPP.

  2. Leave the ChargeBoxIdentity as is.

  3. Set OCPP-mode to OCPP-J 1.6.

  4. In JSON OCPP URL, enter: ws://ocpp.plugchoice.com

  1. Press Save and Restart.


Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Snigg, this is the ChargeBoxIdentity shown under Backend > OCPP (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.


Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ChargeBoxIdentity.

  • Check OCPP-mode is set to OCPP-J 1.6.

  • Can't reach the web interface? Re-seat the USB cable and reload the page.

  • Using a SIM? Check the APN settings and the signal.
