Requirements
A laptop or phone with wifi
The charger's serial number (it's also the wifi network name)
Connect your charger
Open your wifi settings and select the Orbis network.
The network name is the charger's serial number.
Enter the factory password:
12345678. Change it to a secure password afterwards.In a browser, go to
192.168.4.1.Go to Communications.
Set the URL to
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1/followed by the serial number.Example:
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1/ORB12345Set the port to
80.Click Overwrite.
Using a SIM? Enter the APN from your SIM provider in the modem settings.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Orbis, this is the serial number you added to the URL (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number in the URL.
Check the serial number comes after the
/at the end of the URL.Check the port is set to
80.Using a SIM? Check the APN settings and the signal.
