How to connect: Valeo

Connect your Valeo Ineez charger to Plugchoice through the WebUi over the Wi-Fi hotspot.

Requirements

  • A laptop with Wi-Fi

  • The password labels included in the charger's box

  • The charger's serial number

Good to know: Valeo Ineez chargers are configured through the WebUi, accessed over the charger's own Wi-Fi hotspot.

Connect your charger

  1. Wait until the LED is solid green after startup.

  2. Press the touch button under the LED for exactly 3 seconds.

  3. Lift your finger and wait 10 seconds. The hotspot activates.

  4. Join the Wi-Fi network Valeo_XXXXX with password 1 from the label.

  5. Browse to http://10.0.0.1 and accept the browser warning.

  6. Log in. Username: ineez_user, password 2 from the label.

  7. Set a new password at first login and store it safely.

  8. In the configuration menu, set the protocol to OCPP.

  9. Enter the OCPP server URL: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  10. Enter the serial number as the ChargePoint ID and save.

  11. Press Restart the services in the pop-up.

  12. Activate the client Wi-Fi, select your network and enter its password.

  13. Save and restart the services again.

Pressing the button longer than 3 seconds starts a charging session instead.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Valeo, this is the ChargePoint ID you entered, usually the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ChargePoint ID in the charger.

  • LED alternating red and yellow? The charger is not connected to the backend yet.

  • After joining client Wi-Fi, the WebUi hotspot connection drops. This is normal.

  • Restart the services after every settings change.
