How to connect: IES Synergy KEYWATT

Connect your IES Synergy KEYWATT charger to Plugchoice through the InTools interface.

Requirements

  • A laptop and an ethernet cable

  • Charger software version V021 or higher (check via the information button on the display)

  • The charger's serial number

Good to know: software too old? Contact IES support for an upgrade first.

Connect your charger

Access the InTools interface

  1. Connect the ethernet cable between your laptop and a port on the charger's OCPP card.

  2. Give your laptop a static IP: 192.168.111.100 (location 1) or 192.168.254.100 (location 2).

  3. Browse to 192.168.111.50:8088 (location 1) or 192.168.254.50:8088 (location 2).

  4. Log in with one of the passwords: iamoperator, iaminstaller or iamadmin.

Set the OCPP details

  1. Select the connectivity setup.

  2. In the backend settings, set the protocol type to JSON.

  3. As endpoint, enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  4. Set the listened port to 8080.

  5. As charger identifier, enter the serial number.

  6. Set Authorize When Offline Full to false.

  7. In the communication settings, set up ethernet (DHCP) or your SIM's APN.

  8. Check the summary, then save via the validation menu. The charger reboots.

After the reboot, the charger connects to Plugchoice.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For IES Synergy, this is the charger identifier you entered, the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the charger identifier.

  • Software below V021 prevents a connection. Contact IES for an upgrade.

  • Check the endpoint URL for typos or spaces.

  • Check the charger's internet connection (ethernet or SIM).
