How to connect: Hager (Witty Share, Witty Plus, Witty Park 2)

Connect your Hager Witty Share, Witty Plus or Witty Park 2 charger to Plugchoice.

Requirements

  • A laptop or phone, plus the RFID hotspot badge or pairing badge supplied by Hager

  • The charger's serial number

  • For Witty Plus: the Hager Charge app with Bluetooth enabled

Good to know: the steps differ per model. Pick your model below.

Connect your charger

Witty Share (XEV1R22T2)

  1. Power up the charger and activate the wifi hotspot with the RFID hotspot badge.

  2. Join the hotspot, then browse to https://hager-evcs-xxxxxx (the last 6 digits of the UID, on the sticker). Or connect a UTP cable and browse to 192.168.0.100.

  3. Log in as admin with password 1234.

  4. Go to Configuration and set the config type protocol to OCPP.

  5. As CPO connection address, enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  6. As Charge Point ID, enter the serial number.

  7. Reboot the charger.

Witty Plus

In the Hager Charge app:

  1. Press Start pairing and hold the pairing badge on the front of the charger.

  2. Remove the badge when the indicator flashes blue, then confirm and pair.

  3. Enable Installer Mode (top right).

  4. Go to Charging station settings > General parameters > Network and set up wifi or wired.

  5. Go back and select CPO configuration.

  6. As charging point operator address, enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  7. As OCPP ID, enter the serial number. Set the authentication type to None.

  8. Press Save.

Witty Park 2

  1. Hold the RFID tag on the reader for 7 seconds. A blue LED confirms the hotspot is on.

  2. Join the wifi network Witty-xxxxxx (last 6 digits of the serial number).

  3. Browse to 192.168.3.5 or Hager.local.

  4. Log in as admin; the password is the first 4 digits of the serial number.

  5. Go to Charging station > Network and set up your connection.

  6. Go to Access management > Access methods and enable Controlled access.

  7. Select Charging point operator.

  8. As address, enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  9. As OCPP ID, enter the serial number. Set the authentication type to Basic, no password.

  10. Save the settings.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Hager, this is the OCPP ID you entered, the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the OCPP ID.

  • Check the operator address for typos or spaces.

  • Check the charger's network connection (wifi, wired or SIM).

  • Reboot the charger after saving new settings.
