Requirements
The charger ID (on the charger and in your ProjectEV paperwork)
Internet connection for the charger
Good to know: ProjectEV chargers are pointed to a new OCPP server remotely, by ProjectEV's support team.
Connect your charger
Email ProjectEV support ([email protected]) with the charger ID.
Ask them to point the charger to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.
Ask them to set G_ChargerMode to 1.
Keep the charger online so ProjectEV can apply the change remotely.
Wait for ProjectEV's confirmation.
Once confirmed, the charger connects to Plugchoice.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For ProjectEV, this is the charger ID (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The charger connects only after ProjectEV confirms the URL change.
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the charger ID.
Check the charger had an internet connection when ProjectEV applied the change.
For a complete guide, see our troubleshooting article if your charger can't connect to Plugchoice.
