How to connect: Teison

Connect your Teison charger to Plugchoice via the My Teison app or the charger's control board.

Requirements

  • A Teison charger with OCPP support and an internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G)

  • The charger's serial number (on the type plate)

  • The My Teison app, or access to the charger's control board (models with a display)

Connect your charger

Option 1: In the My Teison app

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your phone.

  2. Open the My Teison app and log in.

  3. Select your charger from the list.

  4. Press the ... icon (top right), then Config Network.

  5. Select your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enter its password.

  6. Press webSocket.

  7. Enter the websocket URL: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  8. Press Link to router to save.

Option 2: On the charger's control board

  1. Press the settings button (top right) on the display.

  2. Open Internet Settings.

  3. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter its password.

  4. Return to the settings screen and open the OCPP settings.

  5. Set the OCPP ID to the charger's serial number.

  6. In OCPP URL1, enter: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  7. Turn on the switch next to OCPP URL1.

The charger now connects to Plugchoice. This can take a few minutes.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Teison, this is the OCPP ID you set, so the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the OCPP ID on the charger.

  • Check the URL for typos and trailing spaces.

  • Teison chargers only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not 5 GHz.

  • Using the control board? Make sure the switch next to OCPP URL1 is on.

  • Restart the charger after changing settings.
