Other models: configuration is done by an ADS-TEC service engineer
Connect your charger
Most ADS-TEC chargers
Contact ADS-TEC support to configure the charger.
Ask them to set the OCPP backend to
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.Provide the charger's serial number as the chargepoint ID.
ChargePost
Set your laptop's IP address to 172.17.10.99, subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Connect the LAN cable to the service port on the PLC.
In your browser, open 172.17.10.100:8080.
Log into the Service HMI with your product training login.
Open the OCPP menu.
Set OCPP to WS.
Set Host name to
proxy.plugchoice.com.Set Path to
/v1and Port to 80.Set CPID / backend ID to the charger's serial number.
Set Security Profile to 0. Leave the rest empty.
Save the settings and reboot the charger.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For ADS-TEC, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID must exactly match the serial number.
ChargePost: check host name, path
/v1and port 80.Other models: confirm with ADS-TEC that the backend was changed.
Reboot the charger after changing settings.
