Requirements
The Installer Miles app, with Bluetooth enabled on your phone
Your network details for the charger
The charger's serial number (QR code on the charger)
Good to know: GL EV-IQ chargers run on the Electric Miles platform. Their support team sets the OCPP URL for you.
Connect your charger
In the Installer Miles app:
Power on the charger.
Open the app and select Access for Electric Miles Drivers.
Select Charger connectivity.
Select EVIQ and your model, for example GL-EVIQ07WRS.
Scan the serial number QR code on the charger.
Select Network Setup and enter your network details.
Press Next and pair via Bluetooth with password 123456.
Wait until the app shows the charger is connected. The charger resets.
Then:
Email Electric Miles support ([email protected]) with the serial number.
Ask them to set the server URL to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.
Ask them to set the randomised delay to 1 second.
Once Electric Miles confirms, the charger connects to Plugchoice.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For GL EV-IQ, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The charger connects only after Electric Miles confirms the URL change.
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.
Check the charger has a network connection (the screen should be green).
For a complete guide, see our troubleshooting article if your charger can't connect to Plugchoice.
