How to connect: Rolec (EV Connect)

Connect your Rolec charger to Plugchoice via the Rolec EV Connect app.

Requirements

  • Internet connection

  • The Rolec EV Connect app

  • The charger's QR code (back of the setup guide or inside the charger)

Connect your charger

  1. Open the Rolec EV Connect app.

  2. Scan the charger's QR code when asked.

  3. Go to Configure your chargepoint > Back Office.

  4. Select Custom as the back office.

  5. Enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  6. Press Set.

The charger now connects to Plugchoice. This can take a few minutes.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Rolec, this is the serial number, also encoded in the QR code (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.

  • Check the URL has no typos, spaces, or trailing slash.

  • Check Back Office is set to Custom with the Plugchoice URL.

  • Restart the charger after saving.
