Requirements
An Evec charger and an internet connection
The Evec app on your phone, with Bluetooth enabled
The charger's serial number (on the type plate)
Good to know: on a pedestal with two sockets, configure each socket separately.
Connect your charger
In the Evec app
Press the + icon (top right), then Add Device.
Pair with the sockets the app finds.
Press a socket to open its menu.
Press Manual Mode.
Press Setting (bottom right).
Scroll down to IP Address.
Enter the websocket URL and confirm: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1
The charger beeps to confirm.
Repeat steps 3 to 8 for the second socket.
Finish up
Power cycle the charger.
Check in the app that the settings were saved.
The charger now connects to Plugchoice. This can take a few minutes.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Evec, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.
Check the URL for typos and trailing spaces.
Two sockets? Both need the URL set separately.
Power cycle the charger after changing settings.
