How to connect: Simpson & Partners

Connect your Simpson & Partners charger to Plugchoice via the Simpson & Partners app.

Requirements

  • The Simpson & Partners app

  • The charger connected to the internet


Connect your charger

  1. Open the Simpson & Partners app.

  2. Go to Settings > OCPP.

  3. In the operator list, choose the option to set a custom operator.

  4. Enter the OCPP URL: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  5. Press Save & Restart Charger.

The charger now connects to Plugchoice. This can take a few minutes.


Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Simpson & Partners, this is the charger ID shown in the Simpson & Partners app (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.


Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the charger ID.

  • The URL must be exactly ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  • No custom operator option in the app? Contact Simpson & Partners support.

  • Restart the charger after saving.
