How to connect: go-e

Connect your go-e charger to Plugchoice via OCPP using the go-e app.

Requirements

  • The go-e app with your charger added

  • Internet connection on the charger (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or SIM, depending on model)

  • The charger's serial number (on the type plate and the reset card)

Connect your charger

In the go-e app:

  1. Open the go-e app and select your charger.

  2. Go to Settings > Connection > OCPP.

  3. Enable OCPP.

  4. Enter ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1 as the OCPP Server URL.

  5. Set the protocol to WS.

  6. Enable Append SN to URL.

  7. Tap Save changes.

  8. Restart the charger.

Older app versions: open the Internet tab and go to OCPP. Enable OCPP 1.6 and set the server URL to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1/[serial number].

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For go-e, this is the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.

  • Check Append SN to URL is enabled.

  • Check the charger is online in the go-e app.

  • Update the charger to the latest firmware.

  • Restart the charger after changing OCPP settings.
