How to connect: Rolec GreenFlux

Connect your Rolec GreenFlux charger to Plugchoice via its local web interface.

Requirements

  • The charger password (contact Rolec if you don't have it)

  • A Windows laptop and an ethernet cable

  • Physical access to the charger

Good to know: this is an older legacy product with a technical setup. Not comfortable? Ask your installer.

Connect your charger

Step 1: Set your laptop's IP address

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet.

  2. Click Change adapter options.

  3. Right-click your ethernet adapter and select Properties.

  4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

  5. Set the IP address to 10.1.0.111.

  6. Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0.

  7. Click OK and close all windows.

  8. Unplug and re-plug the LAN cable to reset the adapter.

Step 2: Allow ping in the Windows firewall

  1. Open Windows Defender Firewall via the Start menu.

  2. Click Advanced Settings.

  3. Select Inbound Rules.

  4. Find the rules named File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In).

  5. Enable them for all profiles (Domain, Private, Public).

Step 3: Configure the charger

  1. Power on the charger and wait 2 minutes.

  2. Connect your laptop to the charger controller with the ethernet cable.

  3. In a browser, go to 10.1.0.110.

  4. Log in with the charger password.

  5. In Backend Settings, enter the OCPP URL: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  6. The interface splits the URL into separate fields: proxy.plugchoice.com, port 80, path /v1.

  7. Using a SIM? Enter the SIM's APN (plus username and password, if any).

  8. Leave Use Secure Websocket off.

  9. Click Reboot in the top menu bar.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Rolec GreenFlux, this is the ChargeBox ID shown in the charger's web interface (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ChargeBox ID.

  • Can't reach 10.1.0.110? Re-check the laptop's IP settings and the firewall rules.

  • Using a SIM? Check the APN settings and the signal.

  • Reboot the charger after changing settings.
