Requirements
The charger password (contact Rolec if you don't have it)
A Windows laptop and an ethernet cable
Physical access to the charger
Good to know: this is an older legacy product with a technical setup. Not comfortable? Ask your installer.
Connect your charger
Step 1: Set your laptop's IP address
Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet.
Click Change adapter options.
Right-click your ethernet adapter and select Properties.
Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.
Set the IP address to
10.1.0.111.Set the subnet mask to
255.255.255.0.Click OK and close all windows.
Unplug and re-plug the LAN cable to reset the adapter.
Step 2: Allow ping in the Windows firewall
Open Windows Defender Firewall via the Start menu.
Click Advanced Settings.
Select Inbound Rules.
Find the rules named File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In).
Enable them for all profiles (Domain, Private, Public).
Step 3: Configure the charger
Power on the charger and wait 2 minutes.
Connect your laptop to the charger controller with the ethernet cable.
In a browser, go to
10.1.0.110.Log in with the charger password.
In Backend Settings, enter the OCPP URL:
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1The interface splits the URL into separate fields:
proxy.plugchoice.com, port80, path/v1.Using a SIM? Enter the SIM's APN (plus username and password, if any).
Leave Use Secure Websocket off.
Click Reboot in the top menu bar.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Rolec GreenFlux, this is the ChargeBox ID shown in the charger's web interface (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ChargeBox ID.
Can't reach
10.1.0.110? Re-check the laptop's IP settings and the firewall rules.Using a SIM? Check the APN settings and the signal.
Reboot the charger after changing settings.
