How to connect: Veton

Connect your Veton charger to Plugchoice via the controller's web interface.

Requirements

  • A Veton charger (One, Two, Wall or WallPlus) connected to your network via ETH0

  • The charger's serial number (on the type plate)

  • A laptop on the same network to access the web interface

Connect your charger

Open the web interface

  1. Connect a network cable between your router and the controller's ETH0 port.

  2. Power up the charger. Startup takes about 5 minutes.

  3. On your laptop, open a browser and go to http://ev3000.local/

  4. Press the person icon to log in.

  5. Log in with username and password: manufacturer

Enter the OCPP settings

  1. Go to Charging Park > Charging Stations > your charger > Configuration.

  2. Set Release mode to By OCPP.

  3. Set the OCPP ID to the charger's serial number.

  4. Press Save changes.

  5. Go to Charging Park > OCPP > Configuration.

  6. Fill in the charger's serial number and model.

  7. In Backend URL, enter: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  8. Press Save.

Finish up

  1. Go to System Control > Time and correct the date and time if needed.

  2. Go to System Control > Network and make sure No Gateway is unchecked.

  3. Go to System Control > Status and press Reboot system.

  4. Wait about 5 minutes for the controller to restart.

The charger now connects to Plugchoice.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Veton, this is the OCPP ID you set, so the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the OCPP ID on the charger.

  • Check the URL for typos and trailing spaces.

  • Can't reach ev3000.local? Go directly to the controller's IP address instead.

  • Check the date and time are set correctly in System Control > Time.

  • Reboot the system after changing settings and wait 5 minutes.
