How to connect: Delta DC

Connect a Delta DC charger to Plugchoice through its local WebUI over a LAN cable.

Requirements

  • A laptop and a LAN cable

  • The WebUI service password, from Delta service or the factory test report

  • The charger's serial number (also on the display's debug screen)

Good to know: Delta recommends remote commissioning by their service team. You can reach them at [email protected].

Connect your charger

Open the WebUI

  1. On the laptop, open the LAN adapter's IPv4 settings (Windows: Run > ncpa.cpl).

  2. Set IP address to 10.2.0.254, subnet mask to 255.255.0.0.

  3. Connect the LAN cable to the charger's internal switch, port LAN3.

  4. In your browser, open the address based on the last 4 serial digits. Serial ending 0241 becomes 10.2.2.41:8080, ending 1241 becomes 10.2.12.41:8080.

  5. Press Config and log in. Username is service, password from Delta.

Set the OCPP backend

  1. Open OCPP.

  2. Set Enable to True and Version to OCPP1.6J. Save.

  3. Open ConnectionParameters.

  4. Set CsAddress to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.

  5. Set UseStrongTLS to False. Save.

  6. Open DeviceParameters, set chargeBoxIdentity to the serial number. Save.

  7. Using a SIM? Go to Interfaces > MobileBroadband, enable cellular and enter your APN.

  8. Press Restart Software.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Delta, this is the chargeBoxIdentity you set, normally the serial number (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the chargeBoxIdentity.

  • Check CsAddress for typos, spaces or a trailing slash.

  • Check UseStrongTLS is False.

  • Restart the charger after saving.
