Requirements
A contact at Autel (reseller, installer or Autel support)
Internet connection for the charger (LAN, wifi or SIM)
The charger's serial number
Good to know: unlike Autel AC chargers, Autel sets the OCPP backend of DC chargers remotely. You don't configure anything on the charger yourself.
Connect your charger
Commission the charger and connect it to the internet.
Contact Autel with the charger's serial number.
Ask them to set the OCPP backend URL to
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.Wait for Autel to confirm the change.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Autel DC, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
Ask Autel to confirm the OCPP URL was applied.
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.
Check the charger is online (display or status light).
Restart the charger after the change.
For a complete guide, see our troubleshooting article if your charger can't connect to Plugchoice.
