How to connect: CTEK

Connect a CTEK charger to Plugchoice via the local web interface over USB.

Requirements

  • Windows only: CCU drivers installed before you start

  • Internet connection for the charger

Connect your charger

  1. Connect the USB cable to the controller board's mini USB port.

  3. Log in with username ccu, password ccu.

  4. Go to Configuration > Setup and enable Advanced settings.

  5. No internet yet? Set it up under the Interface tab.

  6. Go to Configuration > Backend.

  7. Leave Chargebox Identity unchanged. Note it down.

  8. Set Communication Protocol to OCPP-J 1.6.

  9. Set Backend Endpoint to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1

  10. Click Save.

  11. On the General tab, enable RFID lock. Click Save.

  12. Under Outlets, set Authentication Mode to RFID. Click Save.

  13. Reset the charger.

  14. On the Status page, check Backend connection is established.

Registering your charger in Plugchoice

  1. Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For CTEK, this is the Chargebox Identity (case sensitive).

Done! The charger should come online.

Troubleshooting

Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?

  • The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the Chargebox Identity (case sensitive).

  • On the Status page, WAN connection and Backend connection must both be established.

  • Check RFID lock is enabled and Authentication Mode is RFID.

  • Reset the charger after every change.
