Requirements
The charger's serial number (on the charger and in its documentation)
A way to contact Ecotap or an Ecotap-approved installer
Good to know: Ecotap chargers cannot be configured by the owner or installer. Opening the module breaks the warranty seal and voids the warranty.
Connect your charger
Email Ecotap support and request a connection to Plugchoice.
Provide the OCPP URL: ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.
Provide the charger's serial number.
Ask which chargepoint ID the charger will use.
Wait for Ecotap to confirm the connection.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Ecotap, this is usually the serial number, as confirmed by Ecotap (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ID confirmed by Ecotap.
Confirm with Ecotap that the connection has been completed.
Never open the module yourself; this voids the warranty.
