Restarting your charger sends a command that restarts it remotely. A session in progress can stop.
It does not physically cut power from the charger. If you want to do that, you have to power cycle it physically.
How to restart a charger

Go to Chargers > Settings > Restart charger.

Go to Chargers > [your charger] and press Restart at the top right.
The charger must be online, and you need data access to the location.
