Requirements
A laptop with an SD card reader and a text editor
Physical access to the charger's CPU (OCPP kit)
The charger's serial number and maximum power
Connect your charger
Take the SD card from the OCPP kit on the charger's CPU.
Open the
config.expfile in a text editor.Set ChargeboxId to the serial number.
Set OCPP_SERVER_URL to:
ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1Set VersionOCPP to
OCPP1.6.Set PDL_Power to the charger's maximum power.
Save the file in ANSI encoding. Other encodings break the configuration.
Rename the file to
config.csv.Put the SD card back and power on the charger.
The configuration uploads automatically at power-on.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Madic, this is the serial number you set as ChargeboxId (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the ChargeboxId.
Check the file is saved in ANSI encoding and named
config.csv.Check the SD card is seated correctly in the OCPP kit.
Power cycle the charger after changing the file.
