Requirements
The Fox Switch app (App Store / Google Play)
The charger's serial number (QR code on the side of the charger)
Wifi details or a SIM for the charger
Connect your charger
In the Fox Switch app:
Register, log in and select your location.
Press Add to open the device binding page.
Enter the serial number as the nickname.
Press the scan icon next to SN, scan the QR code on the charger and confirm.
Select the charger, press the three dots (top right) and select Network.
Choose Wi-Fi or 4G, enter the details and press Setting.
Go back, press the three dots again and select OCPP.
Set the OCPP URL to ws://proxy.plugchoice.com/v1.
Set the security profile to 0 and press Complete.
The charger now connects to Plugchoice. This can take a minute.
Registering your charger in Plugchoice
Add the charger using the chargepoint ID. For Fox ESS, this is the serial number (case sensitive).
Done! The charger should come online.
Troubleshooting
Did you set everything up correctly, but the charger still remains "Pre-registered"?
The chargepoint ID in Plugchoice must exactly match the serial number.
Check the OCPP URL for typos or spaces and that the security profile is 0.
Check the charger has a stable network connection.
