MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) is the European certification for measuring accuracy. A MID certified kWh meter is required for <a href="https://support.plugchoice.com/en/articles/16146153-ere-registration-via-plugchoice">ERE registration</a> and for billing based on measured energy.

Check your charger's specifications or manual for "MID". Some chargers without a built-in MID meter can be made eligible with an externally installed MID meter; ask your installer. When your charger is connected to Plugchoice, we can often detect a MID meter automatically.
