Dynamic price charging (in the app: Dynamic Energy Tariffs) is a charging mode on the Energy prices page.
When used, the chargers in the location will only charge when the energy prices are low enough.
Using Dynamic Energy Tariffs
This mode is set per location, so you find it in the location settings, not in the charger settings. It needs the Smart license.

Go to Overview, press Current energy prices and switch on Dynamic Energy Tariffs.

Web portal
Go to Locations, open the location and go to Energy > Energy prices. Under Charging mode, choose Dynamic price charging.
You can now set the price limit yourself or use Smart mode to let us set a limit based on the current energy prices.
When the current energy price is above the limit, the chargers in the location do not offer power. Charging on dynamic tariffs does not guarantee a saving: the prices come from third parties, and we plan charging on them as well as we can.
How Dynamic Energy Tariffs works
Where the prices come from
Plugchoice gets the live energy price for your region from public sources, such as ENTSO-E, EnergyZero in the Netherlands and Octopus Agile in the United Kingdom. This gives us the bare price of energy. If available, taxes in your region are then included. Charges specific to your energy provider are not included, as we do not know them.
How prices are gathered
Prices are set with intervals of 15 minutes, though your energy provider may (still) use intervals of 60 minutes.
Prices are usually published for the next day (00:00-23:59) at around 12:00-13:00 the day prior. So if you're looking at our graphs before that time, the prices may still be missing.
